The poll results are in as the Irrational Report marks a new era
A quick report back before leaving on vacation and some sunrise photos
I began this odyssey in 2019 just after Jason Kenney and the UCP won the election. It started as a tweet and grew into a thread, and then became a sequel. I’ve never run out of irrational UCP news to talk about over the last three years.
The exhausting pace of the irrationality of the UCP government has taken its toll. I’m usually able to muster up the energy to write the report monthly now….occasionally more, but it does require a certain level of outrage that is probably not good for my blood pressure.
With the coming election and the exit of Kenney, I ran a poll in the last newsletter asking readers to vote for a new name and unlike the UCP leadership vote, there was a clear favourite (shade thrown).
{insert drumroll here}
The winner is the “Colossally Irrational Report,” chosen by 42 per cent of those who voted!
Thanks to everyone who took part in my poll to rename the Irrational Report. The second place finisher was the “Wildly Irrational Report.” Danielle Smith’s performance in her first few weeks as premier seems to have heavily influenced the choice of the new name.
Also, in other news and as discussed in my last newsletter, I’m now back on Pinterest collecting images of the two leaders - Smith and Rachel Notley of the NDP - as we begin the countdown to the spring election. View the board here and let me know your thoughts on how the two campaigns are doing so far. (Update November 30: New board created and subsequently my account was deactivated by Pinterest. Not sure why!)
I’ll be leaving now for a couple of weeks of vacation, but I wanted to share a few sunrise photos with you before I go. As a cloud and sunrise fan, October is one of the best times of year to catch some spectacular sunrises. An added bonus this year is the fact that my balcony garden is still going strong.
See you in two weeks!
